Rehearsals at New Cut Studios Our live room provides a relaxed, comfortable environment for band rehearsals, instrument tutorials and more. Recently we’ve been streaming live performances out of it; but anything that you want to do creatively, particularly in the audio & video realms - if you need a space, this must be the place.

Our rehearsal room comes equipped with a 4 piece Mapex drum kit & Tama hardware, Orange & Sound City 4x12 guitar cabinets, and Ashdown 8x10 bass cab. You get floor wedges like a real gig and 4 Shure microphones as standard. And the best bit? You won't have to listen to another band at all.

Great sounding room So many customers say it's the best sounding rehearsal room in Bristol. Because it’s acoustically treated you won't come out of band practice with tired ears. There’s also air conditioning and dimmable lighting: so you can control your working environment to get the ambience just right.

Equipment hire: If you can't bring your own amplifier or drum "breakables" (snare, cymbals & kick pedal) you can hire them for a small fee: currently £10 per amp or drum accessories per session. Or bring your own drums if you need to.

Chill-out area: We have a nice little chill out area for you to take breaks in with free tea and coffee, though we charge for fresh coffee. There's a toaster, a sandwich toaster, a microwave and a fridge-freezer.

Practice makes perfect We want you to make the most of the time you're paying for and to enjoy being here. The more time you can spend working in a comfortable space the quicker you will improve your material and your skills; both individually and as a group.

Fully Equipped Not many practice rooms in Bristol have wedge cabinet floor monitoring for your foldback. We do — so you can be gig ready in no time. The basic drum kit, bass cab and two guitar cabs are available free and we will supply quality amplifier heads/combos or snare/pedal/cymbals for a modest charge.

New Cut Studios is a small, friendly place with only one rehearsal room — and that means you will have the whole place to yourselves. You can make as much noise as you want and you won't be disturbed by any other bands - a level of privacy that you just don't get in most rehearsal studios.

Just Hit Record There's another way in which you can take advantage of this exclusivity: you can record your session easily with the stereo pair of condenser mics mounted in the ceiling. Just plug your own hand-held recorder or laptop audio interface into the wall. If you don’t have your own device with phantom power you can hire our Zoom recorder for £20 and we’ll email you the files later. What better way to reference the material you're working on in order to develop your performance skills?

Just chill We have a small but cosy kitchen & lounge area with a kettle, toaster, coffee filter, sandwich toaster, microwave and even a full size fridge-freezer: so you can bring your own food and refreshment. Tea & coffee are free

Storage and security We also provide secure combination-locked equipment storage cages - with 24 hr access.
